Fall is in the air! Chilly nights, comfy scarves, pumpkins, colorful leaves, and pumpkin spice lattes have arrived and what better way to celebrate this beautiful season than with a Fall party.

Fall Party {Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe} (1)Last Friday we hosted a Fall party to celebrate, in my opinion, the most beautiful season. I truly love everything about Fall. Pumpkin decor, pumpkin patch visits, caramel apples, pumpkin recipes, and of course chilly nights with beautiful sunsets. On Friday our neighbors, my best friend and her daughter joined us for an evening of harvest fun. We ordered pizza then had a variety of treats displayed on our Fall tablescape.

We made our favorite peanut butter cookie recipe filled with chocolate chips and peanut butter M&M’s…mmm have you tried these? Even though they’re sold year round I mainly eat them in the Fall-Winter in their holiday colors. They’re my weakness every single time I go to the store. This peanut butter cookie recipe is soft and chewy, the peanut butter M&M’s are the perfect addition to the cookie.

We enjoyed cold apple cider floats in apple cups. These were a kid-favorite! To make them I used an apple cider recipe from Mott’s apple juice, hallowed out for the inside of an apple, and topped it with vanilla ice cream.

I may have gone all over town looking for real pumpkins before our party. Our stores haven’t placed their pumpkin displays yet and I couldn’t host a fall party without real pumpkins. Luckily one store in town had a small selection available. I displayed them around the table and in wire baskets. I loved them so much that I kept them in the baskets to decorate my house over the weekend.

At night we took the kids outside for a game of Pumpkin Bowling. My kids LOVE this game! Every year I make this game and somehow it disappears from our garage..I think the hubs might have something to do with that. HA! To make the game I used plastic root beer bottles that I spray painted then added black vinyl for the eyes and mouth. Even though I’ve made these several times I always forget to apply a sealant like polyurethane to keep the paint from chipping so quickly. I plan to apply another coat so the kids can continue playing this game over the next month.Fall Party {Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe} (7)

Our fall tablescape was filled with natural elements like wood plaques as serving plates, orange mums, wheat, pumpkins, and twig pumpkins. It was a great way to welcome fall!

What a pretty pumpkin party table! My grandkids will love pumpkin bowling. Do you add any weight to the bottles?

This party looks so adorable – I love your attention to detail! It still feels like summer here in Virginia but I look forward to trying some of these ideas once the leaves start changing :)

This is too cute Crystal! And I’m chuckling inside right now because our tables look exactly the same right now, burlap runner, tree rounds, white pumpkins… great minds think alike :)
